Val's Snippets 2

Snippets 2

Things we have not seen.

Graffiti. Not one little bit.

Museli... Well one little expensive German bag, and yes the crow did pinch it

Women on election posters. Local elections are happening, but only men smile down from the
bill boards.

Thick Greek youhurty yogurt.

Road kill. Well two dog type things and the very last bit of a snake.
Rubbish bins. Lots of recycling bins but nothing for the mass of packaging we accumulate every
day. Everything comes double wrapped, and then gets another bag for good measure.

Prunes

Yachts. This looks to be an amazing cruising venue. Lots of islands harbours, warm water and
little towns. But we have seen really strong currents, whirlpools and overfalls. It makes French
pass look like a paddling pool. But even so not one yacht.
Same with camper vans. What a great place to explore in one. Do it now before it catches on.
Bacon

Camping grounds. What Hippocrits we are. We carry on at home about all the folk free camping,
not contributing to local economies. And here we are, three weeks in and yet to use, or even
find a camp ground. I have read that cycle tourists do spend as much as others it just takes us
longer to do it.

We recently hosted a Japanese couple. They were excited that we were going to Kyushu. There
you can eat horse meat, horse liver, oh yes raw horse liver. I doubt we have done so, but the
sausage grabbed from the convenience store was a very odd colour.
